Installing the loopback adaptor

Sometimes it's useful to have the loopback network adaptor installed so that other programs on the same machine can control - or be controlled by - Titan. Here is how to install this:

1. Open Windows' device manager. You may do so by hitting the Windows key, and typing 'devmgmt', followed by Enter.

2. Find the network adaptor section and expand it.

3. From the Action menu select Add Legacy Hardware.

4. The 'Add New Hardware' wizard opens. Click Next.

5. On the next screen select Choose hardware manually and click Next.

6. Select hardware type 'Network adaptors' and click Next.

7. Select manufacturer 'Microsoft' and model 'Microsoft Loopbackadaptor for KM-TEST' and click Next.

8. Check that the 'Microsoft Loopbackadaptor for KM-TEST' is selected and click Next.

9. This confirms the successful installation. Click Finish.

10. Now in network settings a new Ethernet connection is shown, and can be configured like other adaptors.
