About this wiki

This wiki is made by users, administered by users, and dedicated to users. Please be kind - any misuse will be punished by the immediate deletion of your account.

For any editing questions you might want to refer to the syntax page for details on formatting etc. Also it is a good idea to see how existing macros have been written.

Not official in any way

To say it loud and clear: THIS WIKI IS NOT AN OFFICIAL AVOLITES RESSOURCE. The author (well, the starting author) is a longstanding Avolites user, and works for the German Avolites distributor. Also, he is not a newbie in the field of computer programming. However, all information in this wiki is either made public elsewhere (in which case source and author are denoted), or public knowledge (e.g. the parts about XML, functions, or namespaces) written in own words, or can be derived from publicly available data. There might be some 'educated guess' and some 'reasonable assumptions' in some cases which helped to learn a few details. If so, this shall be clearly marked as ASSUMPTION. But that's it.

As such, any liability, implicitely or explicitely, shall be refused. If you find the information made available here useful then some feedback or a good code snippet in return would be appreciated. Have fun.

Work in progress

This wiki is, by its nature, work in progress. It was started in october 2017, and will take some time to be filled with contents. Please be patient and browse along again. Or even better: register and contribute. Registered and logged-in users can see the current to-do list here.

The fine print

IMPORTANT: This wiki is intended for the use of the individual user
and may contain information that is privileged or unsuitable for
overly sensitive persons with low self-esteem, no sense of humour or
irrational religious beliefs. If you are not the intended recipient,
any dissemination, distribution or copying of this wiki is not
authorised (either explicitly or implicitly) and constitutes an
irritating social faux pas.

Unless the word absquatulation has been used in its correct context
somewhere other than in this warning, it does not have any legal or no
grammatical use and may be ignored. No animals were harmed in the
composition of this wiki, although the kelpie next door is living on
borrowed time, let me tell you. Those of you with an overwhelming fear
of the unknown will be gratified to learn that there is no hidden
message revealed by reading this warning backwards, so just ignore that
Alert Notice from Microsoft.

However, by pouring a complete circle of salt around yourself and your
computer you can ensure that no harm befalls you and your pets. If you
have read this wiki in error, please add some nutmeg and egg whites,
whisk and place in a warm oven for 40 minutes.
