  * copy pattern functions into new text file
  * replace ''    <Function ID="'' with ''   ''
  * replace ''" Value="'' with '';''

  * open Excel, and drag'n'drop this file into a new spreadsheet
  * highlite the column of imported data, and do ''Data -> Text to Columns'' with separator: semi-colon
  * delete column A
  * insert header line and name the now-only column like the pattern, e.g. 'random' or 'sine'
  * highlite the column, go to Insert tab, and insert a line diagram
  * format to your liking
